YouTube named top social media site

Online video hosting giant YouTube has been named the top social media site, ahead of the likes of Facebook and Twitter.
The Zeta 2010 Buzz Awards looked at the popularity of 125 social media sites in terms of the volume of mentions and the number of positive mentions the sites received.
YouTube and photo sharing site Flickr came out top, with sites like MySpace, Friendster and Craigslist falling out of favour with young internet users. It seems that online video is here to stay as one of the most popular ways to socialise on the net.
