02/02/2011
Google’s MD for media and platforms in the US, Barry Salzman, was talking up online video at the recent Advertising Week 2011 conference in Toronto.
Web video productions are becoming an increasingly popular way to promote brands and, in turn, viewers are growing more interested in them. According to Salzman, viewers of online video upload 35 hours worth of YouTube video every minute.
He added that, if given choices, viewers often choose to watch a video promotion before a YouTube film. He added that online video viewers are tenacious, with many watching for hours at a time.
